Volunteer

As a small nonprofit organization, the Portage for Youth relies heavily on volunteer involvement from groups, businesses, churches, and individuals. We currently have the following volunteer opportunities available:

Special Events Coordinator and Committee Members

The Portage has two major special events this year: our annual Minnesota Twins game fundraiser in July and our 5th annual Drive for Kids in the summer. We need a number of people to help with event planning, sponsor solicitation, graphic arts, phone calling, and day-off staffing. This is a fun and rare opportunity for those who love baseball, cars, or both!

Theatre Box Office and Concession Workers

The Portage owns and manages the historic Mounds Theatre at 1029 Hudson Road. We are regularly in need of people to help sell tickets and concessions for plays, dances, and other events (see our Shows and Movies page for a list of upcoming productions).
