Maps & Directions
The Mounds Theatre is located at 1029 Hudson Road on the East Side of Saint Paul, 1/2 block west of Earl St. It is about 1/2 mile north of Indian Mounds Park, in the Dayton’s Bluff neighborhood just east of downtown.
There is ample free street parking along Hudson Road.
Driving from the west on eastbound I-94
- Take the Mounds Blvd./Metro State University Exit (Exit 243). NOTE: This is a left side exit.
- Go straight ahead one block on 6th St.
- Turn right onto Maria Ave.
- Follow Maria Ave. It will curve and turn into Hudson Road.
- The Mounds Theatre is on the left at 1029 Hudson Road (between Cypress St. and Earl St.)
- Driving from the east on westbound I-94
- Take the Kellogg /Mounds Blvd. Exit (Exit 243).
- Turn right immediately onto E. 3rd St.(Kellogg and 3rd St. are the same street).
- Turn right at the next stoplight onto Maria Ave.
- Follow Maria Ave. It will curve and turn into Hudson Road.
- The Mounds Theatre is on the left at 1029 Hudson Road (between Cypress St. and Earl St.)
From the south on Highway 61
- Take Highway 61 north into Saint Paul. Continue past the Warner Road stop lights.
- At the next stop lights, turn left onto Burns Ave.
- Continue on Burns Ave. to Earl St.
- Turn right on Earl St.
- Continue on Earl St. until you pass over I-94.
- Turn left on Hudson Road.
- The Mounds Theatre at 1029 Hudson Road is on your right about a 1/2 block from the corner.
From the south on Highway 52
- Take Highway 52 north over the Mississippi River into St.Paul.
- Continue past the I-94 exits until you reach 7th St. (You will see the Savoy Restaurant in front of you.)
- Turn right on 7th St.
- Follow 7th St. all the way up the hill past Mounds Blvd. until you go under the skyway at Metro State University.
- Turn right at the next corner on Maria Ave.
- Follow Maria Ave. It will curve and turn into Hudson Road.
- The Mounds Theatre is on the left at 1029 Hudson Road (between Cypress St. and Earl St.).
From downtown St.Paul
- Take Kellogg Blvd. east out of downtown.
- Kellogg Blvd. becomes E. 3rd St. at the bridge. Go up the bridge.
- Turn right at the second stoplight past the top of the bridge onto Maria Ave.
- Follow Maria Ave. It will curve and turn into Hudson Road.
- The Mounds Theatre is on the left at 1029 Hudson Road(between Cypress St. and Earl St.).
